I painted this while listening to the Allegro movement of Boccherini's Concerto for Cello, 2 Flutes, and Strings. This is a busy movement, with lots of dialogue going on between the cello and flutes. In the orange and red spectrum are the colors I saw whenever I heard the lush textures and vibrations of the cello. The two voices of the flutes, bolder and brighter, can be seen in the white and yellow areas. Other colors came from melody sequences, modulations, and dynamics.
