Concerto for Cello and Flute Image © Alison Whalen I painted this while listening to the Allegro movement of Boccherini's Concerto for Cello, 2 Flutes, and Strings. This is a busy movement, with lots of dialogue going on between the cello and flutes. In the orange and red spectrum are the colors I saw whenever I heard the lush textures and vibrations of the cello. The two voices of the flutes, bolder and brighter, can be seen in the white and yellow areas.
